EPIGRAM.
North tho't a peace would do no harm;
Fox vow'd 'twould suit us to a charm;
Shelburne would have it on conditions;
Yet after all these repetitions,
How comes it that so ill they speed,
And none of all these plans succeed?
To fit our coats, let's cut our cloth;
So many cooks have spoil'd the broth.
Aug. 29.    The Barber.
